The FLEXmax family of charge controllers is the latest innovation in Maximum PowerPoint Tracking (MPPT) charge controllers from OutBack Power Technologies. The innovative FLEXmax MPPT software algorithm is both continuous and active, increasing your photovoltaic array power yield up to 30% compared to none-MPPTcontrollers. Either AC or DC Coupled system configurations are possible or a combination of both.

Use Produced Power direct off your solar panels first via a Grid style Inverter and a solar array that supply the main switchboard- (Pictured below the Red SMA Sunny Boy 5kW grid style inverters) The Sunny Island (Yellow)Battery Inverter also connected to the main switchboard can collect then re-direct energy for battery charging. Sunny Island being the brains of the system has bi-directional power functionality so can also send battery stored energy to the switchboard during the evening for use or anytime when there is not enough sun to produce power. Sunny Island will also control the Sunny Boy Inverters power output via Frequency Shift, thus supplying the exact amount of energy required at any given time to household loads or for battery charging. Sunny Island will also bring a generator online if battery levels are down too low to draw energy from or if there is not enough sun to charge batteries or supply loads directly. Wow! If only I could multi-task as good as Sunny Island. This Ac coupling method is great for supplying large daytime loads.

You could have one Sunny Boy and solar array on the house, another system installed on a detached garage or outbuilding then another system ground mounted. As long as all of the Sunny Boy’s supply the same main switchboard in which the battery Inverter is connected to, all components will form one larger grid. Interactive Inverter Chargers
Selectronic SP PRO Interactive Inverter Chargers use the battery bank to store excess energy from renewable sources (normally PV solar) for periods when power demand is low. When the power demand is too high for the inverter alone, or when the battery bank requires recharging, the inverter automatically starts a generator.

This unique range of inverter chargers allow sharing of the load between the inverter and the generator set to maximise power output capacity..

SP PRO Series
The SP PRO Series Inverters is the latest development of Interactive Inverter Chargers by Selectronic.

By managing all the functions of an off-grid power system, the SP PRO inverter ensures the efficient supply of mains quality power to the customer’s load as required. These functions include managing battery bank charge state, maximising renewable energy sources and operating the generator as required.

Sizes range from 3 kW to 20 kW for a single phase system, 6 kW to 40 kW for a split phase system and 9 kW to 60 kW for the SP PRO in a three phase configuration. Simple settings in the included SP LINK software enable the SP PRO to be configured for use in leisure and remote power systems. The SP PRO is suitable for residential, commercial and industrial applications.
